PADI Rescue Diver Course
PADI Rescue course is a Pivotal point in a diver’s education. We make a commitment to enhance our knowledge and skills in Emergency Management and Rescue. Many participants also are looking forward become a PADI Dive Pro – Dive Master and Instructor and the Rescue Course give a solid base to which we can build upon. Great Rescue skills are an essential part of a Dive Professional.
This course is the most challenging, yet most rewarding at the same time. You learn to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem-solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.
The PADI Rescue Course has three sections:
- Knowledge Development – the students will receive their own manual and will be asked to read the 5 chapters in the book, answer all knowledge reviews and further discuss with their instructor. The student will complement their manual by watching the PADI Rescue Video. They will prepare an assistance plan for the location where the scenarios will be practiced. The students also have a Final Exam.
- Rescue Exercises – these are practiced in Open Water, but we may introduce and practice them in confined water. Performance requirements of these Exercises are: Self Rescue, Tired Diver, Panicked Diver, Response from Shore or Boat, Distressed Diver Underwater, Missing Diver, Surfacing the Unresponsive Diver, Unresponsive Diver at the Surface, Exiting the Unresponsive Diver, First Aid for Pressure-Related injuries and O2 administration and Response from Shore or Boat to Unresponsive Diver at the surface.
- Rescue Scenarios – Performance requirements are Unresponsive Diver Underwater and Unresponsive Diver at the Surface.
Please note that the course is performance based not time-based.

PADI Emergency First Responder Course
The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development, and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Primary Care (CPR) skills taught in this course:
- Scene Safety Assessment Universal Precautions – Communicable Disease Protection, including barrier use Primary Assessment Rescue Breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Conscious and Unconscious Obstructed Airway Management Serious Bleeding Management, Shock Management Spinal Injury Management.
